Boys & Girls Club of Chehalis Fall Enrollment for 2021-2022
Hello Parents and Guardians,
Fall has arrived and we’re looking forward to a new school year. The school district has made some changes to school hours so we have made some changes to our schedule in response.
Orin Smith and James Lintott will be starting school at 8:50am and getting out of school at 3:20pm so Club will be open for our elementary members at 3:20pm. Chehalis Middle School will be starting at 7:50am and getting out at 2:20pm and WF West will be starting at 7:40am and getting out at 2:10pm so our teen room for 6th+ will be opening at 2:10pm for those members. Club will be closing this year at 6:30pm Monday-Thursday and 6:00pm on Fridays.
Since the elementary schools will be starting after 8am we’re exploring the idea of being open in the morning from 7:30-9:00am for a before school program. This program would have a limited capacity and would be an additional cost to the after school program. This before school program is also highly dependent on guidelines we don’t have yet and will not be feasible for us if cohort and social distancing guidelines stay at their current level. There is a question in the registration form for you to share if morning service would be of interest to you, please complete this question so we know what level of interest there is.
After School Hours
Teens Room – 2:00-6:30 Monday-Thursday; 2:00-6:00 Friday
K-5 – 3:15-6:30 Monday- Thursday; 3:15-6:00 Friday
Please Note: Club will be closed the last Friday of most but not all months. Please refer to the Calendar for these dates.
Fees
Yearly Application Fee: Every member (K-12) will be charged the once per school year $25 application and annual membership fee.
Monthly Activity Fees: We will be returning to $35/mo per K-5th grade members. We will cap families at $100 for monthly activity fees.
6th+ grade members pay no monthly activity fee.
Before School Program: We’re thinking this program will cost $125/member/month for the before school program but that is subject to change.
Enrollment and Registration
The regulations and guidelines that affect the operations of Club are still changing at the federal, state, and local levels. Those guidelines about cohorts and social distancing control how many members we will be able to take in the Fall. We’ll be pre-enrolling existing members first starting August 11th working with our current capacity. If more existing members sign up for fall than we have capacity for, we will have a lottery to fill our openings. We plan to close this registration period on August 27th.

Those guidelines about cohorts and social distancing control how many members we will be able to take in the Fall. We’ll be pre-enrolling existing members (2020-2021 school year and 2021 summer camp participants) first starting August 11th working with our current capacity. If more existing members sign up for fall than we have capacity for, we will have a lottery to fill our openings. Unfortunately we don’t think we will receive the guidance we need to determine our fall capacity until the last week of August. We appreciate your patience with us as we wait to receive this critical information. We know this is frustrating and we share in your feelings. We wish we had more information to go off of now.
Below is a link to a Google form version of our Membership Application. Please fill out this form for all the existing members (2020-2021). We will not be enrolling siblings of existing members in the first pre-enrollment period since space is very limited, but there is a question on the application asking it there are additional members either entering kindergarten or otherwise that you would like to also enroll. We will do our best to get these siblings enrolled. The membership application also contains the Scholarship Application. If you wish to apply for a scholarship please check the box at the end of the household info section and fill out the scholarship section.
Handbook and policy updates
We have made significant updates to our handbook with a new Controversial Issues Policy and COVID policy’s on pages 13-14. Please take the time to review the handbook before enrolling in Club and understand that by enrolling your student in Club you agree to abide by the information contained within.
